Introduction
Early enough that she can decide for herself, but not so early that it overwhelms both of you. In practice, this usually means: not in your profile and not over the first coffee, but definitely before getting to know each other turns into something serious. And do not reveal everything at once. You can mention that your fetish exists early on; the details can follow later.

Why I believe early is right
Since I was 23, I have spoken about my shoe fetish right at the beginning of every relationship, and none of my partners has rejected me because of it. I told my wife about it over the phone on the very evening we met.
The most important reason is this: anyone who brings up their fetish early gives the woman the opportunity to decide for herself whether she wants to engage with it. Anyone who waits a long time, on the other hand, risks the question shifting. Then it is no longer about feet or shoes, but about why they stayed silent for so long.

A possible roadmap
Every time you get to know someone is different, and there is no perfect moment. Still, a rough guide can help:
- In your dating profile: Usually not, unless you are specifically looking on platforms intended for preferences like these.
- On the first date: Usually too early for details. But if the conversation naturally turns to preferences and fantasies, an initial hint can be appropriate.
- As you get closer: At the latest, before things become intimate, it is a good time to mention that feet or shoes mean a great deal to you.
- Before it gets serious: Before you commit to a steady relationship, she should know that this part of you exists.

How you can bring it up
A good opening often starts with her. Ask her what a lovely evening looks like to her, what she likes, or whether there is something she would enjoy trying. Stay with her topics for a while. At some point, the opportunity to tell her about yourself will arise almost naturally.
Then it helps to remain specific and personal. A sentence such as “I saw you in those shoes the other day, and the sight took my breath away” is honest, refers to her, and is also a compliment. You can be more direct too: “I would like to tell you something about myself. Feet and shoes play a special role for me.”

What you keep to yourself at first
Not every detail belongs in the first conversation. Above all, you should not mention anything she cannot fulfil. For example, if small feet particularly arouse you and she wears a size 40, you are better off keeping that to yourself. Comparisons with other women or celebrities are a no-go anyway.
And do not expect her to share your fetish. In my experience, very few women do. It is enough if she is curious and enjoys playing together.

When she brings it up first
Sometimes a woman makes the decision for you. Perhaps she has noticed how you look at her shoes, or she asks you quite directly whether you are into feet. Then honesty is the best answer. A relaxed “Yes, that is true, and I am glad you asked” opens up more than any evasion.
07 · Dating & Relationships
When you are looking deliberately
Some people with a fetish decide to look specifically for partners with similar preferences, for instance in relevant communities. That can make many things easier because the subject is on the table from the outset. But take particular care there with your safety and privacy, do not share identifiable photos too early, and meet in a public place the first time.

When she hesitates or says no
Openness is an invitation, not an obligation. Initial uncertainty is not yet rejection. Give her time and space for questions. And if she genuinely cannot relate to it at all, you will find out early, before you have built up a great deal together. That too is a gain, even if it does not feel that way at the time.

What remains
Dating is about two things at once: being honest early and not overwhelming anyone. Anyone who combines both makes things easier for themselves and the other person. And anyone who mentions their fetish calmly, personally, and without justification often finds that the reaction is far more relaxed than feared.
